Music notation is as complex as any language. It also integrates other languages into its literature, and readers must be able to understand terms in French, German, and English, just to start. It's a complex system. My suggestion is to get budding musicians to start learning to read music as early as possible. It's never too late to learn, though! It will enrich your music practice.
